Question

On the new fresh produce square in shopping center Vier Meren, Gelderblom Slagerij Hoofddorp gets all the space it needs to showcase its craft. Commissioned by Emondt KMI, we provided the lighting design and supply of the lighting, tailored to the open layout with sandwich corner, self-service counter, generous refrigerated counter and visible workshop.

Challenge

Above the display cases, the MEAT+ light color provides a powerful, flavorful presentation of the meat at Gelderblom Slagerij Hoofddorp. Rich reds, fresh minced meat and beautifully marbled steaks come across as full and natural without being distorted. For the general lighting we chose warm white light, which gives the entire butcher’s shop an inviting glow and brightens the routing towards the counter and sandwich corner. This combination creates a calm base with strong accents in just the right places.

Result
The lighting is composed of our own downlights and tracklights mounted on high-quality Stucchi track rail. These tracks provide reliable power supply, flexibility in aiming and moving spotlights and fit tightly to the dark ceiling. As a result, technology visually falls away and full attention is given to product, craftsmanship and welcoming experience.
