Our Yuugn Zip Single Side is a 3D-printed inset luminaire for 60×60 cm suspended ceilings, intended for situations where you want to combine a quiet ceiling appearance with efficient, comfortable light. Because of its compact shape and fixed light distribution, Zip Single Side works nicely as part of a clean line image along edges or walls, without the need to deal with loose profiles or differing dimensions.
We print the housing of Zip Single Side from recycled PETG and we produce the fixture in the Netherlands. We work with recycled raw materials and a production process that suits projects where material choice and origin count. At the end of its service life, the housing is recyclable again. This allows you to easily incorporate the Yuugn Zip Single Side into circular projects without sacrificing installation pace or maintenance logic.
Zip Single Side works with an SMD LED module and delivers a net system efficiency of 144 lm/W. This means you get a lot of light from relatively little power, which helps minimize energy consumption. Depending on the version, the fixture delivers 1300 to 2880 lumens, with 9 to 20 watts. There is a choice of 3000K and 4000K, so you can match the color temperature to the function of the room.
With CRI >80, the color rendering is suitable for general applications where a neutral and consistent light image is desired. The color consistency of 3 SDCM helps maintain an even image with multiple luminaires in one line of sight. In addition, UGR<19 contributes to visual comfort, which is especially nice in work and learning environments where glare is easily distracting.
Zip Single Side is designed for installation along the edge of a suspended ceiling tile. This is the version for single side imposition, where the luminaire is applied to the side of a ceiling tile. This makes this variant logical if you want to build up a line or light surface at the perimeter of the ceiling, for example along facade areas, corridors or edges of a room.
Within our Zip family, there is also a Zip Double Side. That variant is intended for application in the middle of a ceiling tile and is placed between two adjacent suspended ceiling tiles. So in practice, you choose Zip Single Side for edge construction and Zip Double Side for continuous lines or fields in the middle. The difference is also reflected in the dimensions. Zip Single Side is 77 mm wide, while Zip Double Side is 87 mm wide. As a result, the variants each match their own position in the ceiling image.
The Zip Single Side has a length of 590 mm, a width of 77 mm and a height of 50 mm. The fixture is suitable for indoor use with IP20 and protection class II. The LED lifetime is more than 60,000 hours(L90B50) and the fixture is designed for operating temperatures from 0 to +40 °C. We supply Zip Single Side with a 5-year warranty, which is nice for management and operation in projects where you want to be able to count on predictability.
