A specialty store like Wouters Building Materials provides a place where all materials can be seen, touched and matched. The different types of materials and products are displayed in a large two-story hall. We started by dividing the project into a number of zones, divided with a number of checkpoints. We are working with two floors here, which requires a smart arrangement of both the sides of the balcony, and the fixtures in the height. The right balance is created by using track and recessed spotlights to create accents, and the ceiling is fitted with high bays, fixtures specifically for high spaces. This makes it easier to adjust the light image according to the products presented.

Challenge

Furnishing a store with various areas. In addition, various types of materials are presented, all with their own lighting requirements.

Result
The vanities are uniformly lit from the higher areas, the tiles on the contrary with recessed fixtures. By cleverly coordinating the lighting, each area gets the attention it deserves. With the new lighting, Wouters Bouwmaterialen radiates what it wants to radiate!
