Light, routing and experience come together at Keurslager Harmsen in Diepenveen.
The Vers Specialist in Mijdrecht recently underwent a complete metamorphosis. Emondt KMI commissioned us to take care of an important part of this as well: the lighting. A good lighting plan goes beyond merely hanging fixtures. It determines how products are presented, how employees do their work and how customers experience the store. That’s why we looked closely at sightlines, work zones and product presentation in the Fresh Specialist’s new layout. With our lighting calculations, we were able to guarantee in advance that both the experience and functionality were absolutely right.
Above the counter and self-service counter, we chose a square of black track rail, tightly concealed against the black ceiling. Hanging in it are our own energy-efficient track spots, which provide focused accent light. This gives the fresh chicken products, grills and sandwiches full attention, with colors that look natural and appetizing. In the work areas, we installed LED panels. These are functional and provide even light that helps the team work efficiently and comfortably. As a finishing touch, two fixed round recessed spotlights were added to complete the lighting image and bring calmness to the ceiling.
Result
The result is a store that not only looks more spacious and organized, but also one where the products are literally in the right light. A place where lighting, functionality and experience come together and where customers are enticed by freshness and presentation every day.
