At De Vers Specialist in Mijdrecht, everything is about fresh chicken products and an inviting shopping experience.
For Keurslager Harmsen in Diepenveen, in collaboration with Emondt KMI, we were asked to provide the lighting as part of a complete store transformation. The result is a contemporary butcher’s shop where craftsmanship, freshness and customer experience take center stage.
The renovated interior exudes quality and overview, exactly what you would expect from a Keurslager. The eye-catcher in the store is the long island refrigeration unit with self-service products. This eye-catcher forms the central element of the walking route, leading customers naturally along the entire range. The lighting is of great influence here: it accentuates, guides and supports the store concept.
To enhance the store’s sleek black and white décor, we chose black 3-phase track rails mounted subtly against the white ceiling. In these are placed our TD-L track spots: both in a neutral 3000K color temperature and in a special ‘meat’ version, which gives the meat an extra tasty and fresh look.
A major advantage of this track rail system is its flexibility. The fixtures can easily be moved when the layout of the range changes, without the need for reinstallation.
Our tiltable RN-R recessed spotlights were installed in the wood ceiling to attractively highlight the walls and specific product areas. These spotlights create layering in the light display and enhance the artisanal character of the store.
Comfortable white recessed downlights were chosen for the work areas behind. These provide even, bright lighting and contribute to a pleasant and safe working environment for staff.
Result
The result is a butcher’s shop that is ready for the future. With furnishings that invite, lighting that enhances and a total experience that does full justice to the craftsmanship of Keurslager Harmsen in Diepenveen.
