Meet our new graduate intern

At the end of August our new graduate intern started with us, we are happy to introduce her to you. We do this, of course, using the (well known) introduction questions!

Who are you and where are you from?

My name is Janneke Bouwmans. I am 21 years old and I am from Deurne.

What are you studying?

I am studying International business at the Avans in Den Bosch. This English-language study is mainly about marketing and sales focused on international trade. Last year I completed my specialization in graphic design after which I am now at the final part of my studies, which is graduation!

What do you like most about your education?

I mainly like the fact that the course is very broad. In addition to learning many languages and skills, there are various fields of study in which I can choose what I want to develop further. Since I still have no idea which way I want to go with my career, it is nice that I can still go in any direction with my studies.

How did you end up at Lixero?

During my search for a suitable graduate internship, I came across a job posting from Lixero. Then during an open application I explained what the internship entailed and then together we came up with a nice challenging assignment.

What will you be doing at Lixero?

I will be conducting graduate research for Lixero, about which I am writing a thesis. During my internship period, I will research the most effective strategic approach for Lixero regarding an international expansion in a specific niche market.

What can we wake you up at night for?

You may wake me up only if I get to go on vacation, otherwise let me lie mostly 🙂

What do you like to do on weekends?

I prefer sitting in the sun all day on the terrace with girlfriends. I also like to go for a walk to catch up or plop on the couch with a good movie or series.
