Meet The Team: Tom Trommelen
This is our commercial director, Tom Trommelen. Early thirties, but still too young for a convertible (we agree 😉 ). Although he has already seen a lot of the world, he finally found a house in beautiful Deurne, nice and close to the office. Tom invariably starts his day with a cup of black coffee and a breakfast, lovingly prepared by his wife, before getting in the car to visit clients, construction meetings or project shoots.
New challenges every day
Tom has now been with Lixero for about 8 years, driving all over the Netherlands to deliver the right lighting. Once started as a young mechanic, he now works as commercial director and account manager. In addition to coaching the sales team, he also keeps an eye on ongoing projects. What he likes most about his job? That every day brings a new challenge, and of course those challenges are there to be solved. He is good at that! Because of the many calls he receives each day, he is known in the office as the loud caller and hard typer.
Viva Espana
In his free time, Tom likes to enjoy the sun with a beer in his hand, preferably in Spain, where he has been going with his family for years. For him, it feels like coming home to a foreign country. His favorite dish is his wife’s pasta carbonara, but he is also always up for some Lonka caramel cubes. Tom’s guilty pleasures? Oktoberfest and carnival music. Every year he can be found at the Oktoberfest in Munich and during carnival he hosts the party. No surprise then that this is his favorite “party day”! His favorite movie is Scarface, his favorite series House MD, and his favorite book Lord of the Rings. One of his big dreams is to climb Mount Kilimanjaro for charity.
Tom used to want to be a lawyer, but we are glad he is now advocating for Lixero! His life motto: “Treat others the way you want to be treated yourself.” And his advice to everyone: don’t wait to enjoy yourself, life is short-do what you love!
