Meet The Team: Ruud Adriaansen

Meet our lighting designer Ruud Adriaansen. He is 56 years young and comes from bustling Breda. Since almost a year he strengthens the Lixero team, where he is daily engaged in filling in concepts for retail projects. But he also tackles other projects such as offices or residential buildings with pleasure.

From cappuccino to concept

Ruud invariably starts his working day with a cappuccino (or a coffee with milk and sugar), checks the planning and then dives fully into the lighting plans. Sometimes he sits behind his screen, sometimes he jumps in the car towards the customer or project. The best thing about his job? The variety. Every day is different, and that keeps it fun. He also enjoys working on the future of light: smart solutions, new ideas and always thinking a step ahead.

“Bruce” of Breda

Within Lixero, Ruud Adriaansen now has the nickname Bruce, after Bruce Willis. Why exactly? Well, you will have to find out for yourself. Outside of work, he is active: he likes to play tennis, has an occasional salsa lesson and is not averse to an afternoon of odd jobs or a drink on the terrace.

Nice going, but with balance

His favorite vacation destination is Spain, with a slight preference for Mallorca, but he is open to other places as well. He is both a morning and evening person, although his strength lies just a little more in the early hours. His life motto is clear: Enjoy your life. And at the top of his bucket list? A healthy life, the rest will follow. Ruud’s advice to everyone: Don’t look back, but forward. And that’s what he does himself, every day!
